Rudy's FrisbeeLab Site has had over 100,000 Visitors!

 
I can't believe that I have been maintaining my web site since 1996 and that there have been more than 100,000 visitors!  It has been a lot of fun and I've met some great friends both in person (actually "in dog") and via e-mail.  My site has won awards and has even been been reviewed in the newspaper.  If you don't have a web site, I urge you to give one a try.  Start small and it will evolve over time..... I promise.

Well the holiday season is over and before you know it Spring will be here.  I'm ready  ........ although I do enjoy playing in the snow. 

My humans just came back from New Orleans and brought some beads and a Mardi Gras mask to my daughter, Margo.  Doesn't she look cool?!?  Last weekend the "Barkus" Mardi Gras parade was scheduled in New Orleans.  It's a Mardi Gras parade for dogs.  I sure would liked to have seen that!  If anyone has any pictures or knows of a web site that might have covered it, please let me know. 

My pups, Margo and Tyronne competed in the first canine disc (Frisbee) competition of 2005 in the Northeast.  It was called a DiscDogAthon, a two day, indoor event held at the Cow Palace just north of Baltimore.  margo won a ribbon for her 5th place finish in Sunday's "Bullseye" competition.  Not bad as there were over 40 dogs competing and some top teams from Georgia all the way to Connecticut.  Although Ty didn't win any ribbons he represented "Team Rudy" well.  I just received the detailed results and will be adding a web page with them all shortly.

What a Surprise!  On my birthday  last September (and his) I got an e-mail from my Labradoodle son, Beaux!  I had only seen  pictures of him when he was about 3 weeks old and then in a picture at 12 weeks.  Did it ever make my day!  Here is his picture with his human sister.  He's quite a fine looking guy!  ....and he's learning to play Frisbee too.  Click on the picture to see a larger version.

Rudy's Lab Report

Sunday January 30, 2005  Margo and Tyronne competed in the Skyhoundz / MADDogs DiscDogAthon at the Cow Palace in the northern Baltimore suburbs.  There were several types of canine disc events and Margo and Ty presented themselves very well.   Margo won a fifth place ribbon in the Bullseye competition against some world class Frisbeedog competitors. Stay tuned as we will be adding a complete page of all the results.

Wednesday September 22, 2004  My favorite band, The Wag, was  nominated for top pop band by the Asbury Park Music Awards.   For more info see http://www.thewagband.com     The Wag  performed at the Monmouth County SPCA annual Dog Walk and Pet Fair on Oct. 2nd in Red Bank's Marine Park. Friday September 10, 2004  Congrats Tyronne! He competed at the Norwalk, CT OysterFestival Dock Diving competition and finished in first place in the Junior Division.

Saturday May 22, 2004  Ron and Mary were married.  Ron's my human brother.  It was actually Ron who brought me home when I was 8 weeks old.  I lived with him for 2 days and he dropped me off here in Middletown where I've lived ever since.  Mary is pretty cool and I think he'll keep her...... even if she can't catch a Frisbee in her mouth.  Check out some wedding photos.  Although I wasn't invited to the wedding so I don't know why you would want to.

Friday May 21, 2004  My human sister, Kim  (and Margo's human Mom) graduated  from Rutgers University with her Masters in Education.  She claims she had a 4.0 average too.   Maybe now that she'll have all the free time she'll play Frisbee with Margo.
